Barbados does not have a national airline, but a number of other operators offer flights to the country, including: Air Canada, Air Jamaica, American Airlines, British Airways, BWIA, Canadian Airlines and Virgin Atlantic. BA offer flights to the country starting at around £1600 for a one-way ticket. Flights from London to Bridgetown take approximately seven hours and thirty minutes, from New York around five hours. Barbados’ airport, just outside Bridgetown offers a regular bus service and 24-hour taxis, along with a bar, bureau de change, duty free and restaurant, amongst other things.
